Mini Press 1.0 – Free Genesis Child Theme

Mini Press 1.0 is a truly simple and minimalist child theme that can be used in conjunction with the Genesis Framework. You can use it for a blog or as sample child theme to construct more advanced and customized themes.

Since there are no graphic files involved in the layout, it is extremely easy to do a redesign.

Nice one. Was playing around with the background and can’t extend a body bg image the full height of the page. Thoughts?

    No biggie. My bad.

A template file for pages that duplicates the homepage format would be an excellent addition to this theme. Great job.

  10. Great work, Rafal! Can’t wait to take a closer look.

    Thanks!

Did you ever add the template file for inner pages to this one?

    Thx

  12. I wanted to change the title to my own header; however, when I tried to alter it by taking away the header display text, a “Genesis” logo appears. I tried deleting the “logo.png” file and replacing it with my own “logo.png” but for some reason it STILL has the Genesis logo PLUS my header. How can I change this? For now I just switched it back to the dynamic text since it looked bad.

I’ve been looking for a “white-label” (for lack of a better term) Genesis child theme that has a separate homepage with widgets. So far, the only generic Genesis child themes I’ve seen are blog-style; I can envision using this one for my business clients.

Thanks much for your efforts, Rafal.

Great theme and I’d like to use for my blog. I’ve got a question: how do you achieve the look for the 3 Home Page bottom widgets?
